Children aged 12-14 years
Studying in the 7th-8th grade is the final stage of the school program, in the final grade, students repeat previously acquired knowledge, deepen it and prepare for the transition to Ukrainian credit courses.
The focus of this class is the history of Ukraine, Ukrainian literature and philosophy. Students learn to analyze what they read, reflect on the causes and consequences of certain events, discuss important social and philosophical topics. The purpose of the program for grades 7-8 is to teach students to conduct an oral discussion/conversation or to formulate an opinion in writing in the Ukrainian language. conversations not only at the everyday level, but will also provide more thorough lexical knowledge in various spheres of life.
The topics covered in the lesson are no longer limited to presenting the material and checking what has been learned, but become the basis for discussion.
7-8 grade students participate in the project "Guest in class", the essence of which is that representatives of Ukrainian culture (writers, singers, actors, etc.) come to online meetings in the class and talk about their creativity. Students have the opportunity not only to learn more about certain areas of modern culture, but also to ask questions that interest them.
By the end of the 7th-8th grade, students have a fairly comprehensive idea of Ukraine, its history, geography and culture. They know how to express their thoughts orally and in writing, read Ukrainian and can analyze what they read.
