LESSON #1
April 18, 2020
Grade 3 - 4
Grade 3-4
Children aged 8-9 years
In grades 3-4, students continue to improve their reading, writing, and oral language skills, and begin to systematically study the history of Ukraine. An important component of this class is grammar, students get to know different parts of the language, the structure of sentences and learn to use them correctly in oral and written form. Learning grammar takes place in the form of a game, because it is the game types of work that allow students to learn what they have learned easier, faster and more fun, and at the same time, what arouses interest is much better remembered.
The knowledge gained during the game is consolidated through work on various tasks that the teacher prepares for the lesson, such as written exercises, dialogues, quizzes, etc.
In the 3rd-4th grade, students start reading modern Ukrainian fiction, thereby consolidating reading skills, enriching vocabulary and becoming interested in Ukrainian books.
Another important part of the lesson is the study of the history of Ukrainian lands from ancient times to the present in a simplified descriptive form. Students do not yet learn dates and names, but already understand the historical sequence of events. In order for children to better understand information, it is presented in an easily accessible form, briefly, with illustrations and videos._cc781905-5cde- 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_
It is still difficult for 8-9-year-old children to sit still for a long time, so they have a dance break to modern Ukrainian music (because music is a great way to passively learn the language).
